Network for Democracy:
Tawasul helped to formulate a network in coordination with other Palestinian civil society organisations and private sectors united against violations of the law and against the use of violence to resolve internal conflicts. The mission of this network is to act as a lobby that monitors violations of human rights, democracy and the rule of law, and to mobilize people to demand more political accountability. The network will also take action to prevent these violations and consequently protect and encourage civic peace within Palestinian society.
Network for Peace:
Tawasul is taking the initiative of creating a network of Palestinian NGOs working for peace. This network will ensure better results and a better impact in society thanks to joint actions and projects. The purpose of the network is o enhance the role of peace-building organisations and increase their influence on both the local and the regional scene.
University 'Student Council' training:
This project is funded by the US Institute for Peace in partnership with CARE, “Centre for Applied Research and Education”. Its purpose is to enhance the role of non-violent communication as a viable alternative to resolve conflicts. The target is the representatives of student councils from the West Bank universities. Tawasul and CARE are cooperating to meet the urgent need of educating members of student councils in Palestinian universities in conflict resolution skills, since this is a group from which the future leadership is likely to be drawn.
